Recipe by Chef Jacquie

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups of flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup butter (1 stick)
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 36 Hershey Kisses, remove foil

Preheat oven 375 degrees.

In a bowl stir flour, soda and salt.

In a separate large bowl, with an electric mixer at medium speed, beat butter and peanut butter until well blended. Beat in ½ cup sugar and brown sugar, add egg and vanilla.  Reduce speed to low and gradually beat in flour.

Shape dough into 1 inch balls; roll in granulated sugar and then place on ungreased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart.

Bake for 10 minutes.  Remove from oven and quickly press chocolate kiss firmly in center of cookie.

Remove cookies from cookie sheet and cool completely on wire racks.
