Recipe by Chef Jacquie

Ingredients:

  • 8 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 Tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Place apples in medium saucepot, add water and fresh lemon juice.

Cook slowly over low heat until apples are soft, stirring often. If applesauce gets too thick, add a small amount of water.

Remove from heat and then add sugar and ground cinnamon.

Mash apples with fork until desired consistency is reached.

Refrigerate until ready to serve.
