Chef Jacquie’s Recipe

This cranberry relish/sauce is a great side dish or you can use it as a topping for cheese or crostini.

Ingredient

  • 12 ounce bag of fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup orange juice (fresh squeezed)
  • fresh ginger (1 inch piece, sliced)
  • Pinch of kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange zest (garnish)

Place all ingredients in a medium sized sauce pot, over medium high heat.  Once boiling point is reached, turn heat down to low and simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Relish can be served hot, room temperature or cold.  Sprinkle orange zest on top of cranberry relish, when ready to serve.
