Recipe by Chef Jacquie

  • 2 Cloves minced garlic
  • 2 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • Bunch of broccoli rabe or broccoli florets, cooked
  • 8 Ounce can of beans (Cannellini or Kidney)
  • Large pinch of salt
  • Fresh ground black pepper
  • Red chili pepper flakes

In a medium frying pan over medium heat, add oil and sauté garlic until golden, do not burn.

Add beans and broccoli; lower heat and simmer for 15 minutes.  Season with salt pepper and chili pepper flakes.  Taste, adjust seasoning.

Great as a side dish or entrée, serve with orecchiette pasta and a loaf of crusty Italian bread.
