As the saying goes, “March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb.” For those of you who can’t wait for the “lamb” part to kick in, read on. We’ve got plenty of recipes to help you make it through the last few weeks of cold, winter weather.

With the ice and snow that we’ve been hit with this last week, you may find yourself trying to do some spring-cleaning in hopes that it will bring about warmer temperatures. This time of year we find ourselves cleaning out the cabinets, digging out Mason jars and trying to use up the last few jars of canned or preserved foods from warmer months. I’m down to a jar or two of fresh tomatoes and some fig jam in my pantry, which I’m guarding with my life. (I made them with someone in my community and we spent a very special day together!)

While you wait for winter weather to die down and spring to finally arrive, try some of these simple, comforting suppers to keep you warm until the temperature rises!
Braised Short Ribs
Pasta e Fagioli
Peppers and Eggs
Risotto Milanese
Roasted Beet and Goat Cheese Salad
Leek and Potato Soup
Roasted Brussel Sprouts
Don’t forget about dessert!
Madeleines
Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies
